Panduranga Vitthala Yatra

Panduranga Vittala is a manifestation of Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The temple is a fine example of the Deccan style of architecture and is dedicated to Lord Vittala and His consort Rukmini. It is located in Pandharpur, Maharashtra State, India. Seekers attracted by deep spirituality have always come. The Uniqueness is that everyone can touch the lotus feet of Lord Vittala and Mother Rukmini Devi. Pundalik, a reformed bandit, becomes a dedicated son through Bhakti Yoga on the pilgrimage. Pundalik’s single-minded devotion caught the eye of Lord Vittala, who decided to go to Him. The Yatra of Transformation and Devotion is an opportunity for people to connect with Lord Vittala, to ask for his blessings. It begins as always by dipping in the holy river Chandrabhaga.

vidhāturvasatyai dhṛto nābhikośaḥ parabrahmaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam

By holding His waist with His hands, He seems to say that He is the one holding the flower cup for Brahma himself to reside in. We had an excellent and uneventful trip to Char Dham yatra by helicopter, which Punya Kshetras had extremely well organised and arranged. They responded quickly to my emails and addressed my concerns while planning our trip. Given the difficult roads we had to navigate, having a good driver was critical - the journey was excellent and marvellous in terms of keeping us safe. The sadhus acted as our guides, and we are glad we chose them because they did an excellent job of explaining everything in detail. Punya Kshetras chose some of the best hotels for us to stay in (many of them right on the banks of beautiful rivers), and the majority of the hotel staff were extremely helpful.
