Ayodhya (Rama Janmabhoomi) Yatra​

The historical city of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama is the destination of a pilgrimage called Ayodhya Yatra. Religion, culture and history all contribute to the importance of making a pilgrimage to Ayodhya. Ayodhya is one of the seven sacred cities (Saptamokshapuris) of Mathura, Maya (Haridwar), Kasi (Varanasi), Kanchi (Kanchipuram), Avantika (Ujjain) and Dwaravati (Dwarka). sakṛd eva prapanno yas tavāsmīti ca yācate
abhayaṁ sarvadā tasmai dadāmy etad vrataṁ mama

Lord Rama said, if someone seeks refuge in me just once and declares, “I am yours”, I promise to grant them complete freedom from fear. This pledge is solemn and unwavering. (Valmiki Ramayana 6.18.33)

Birthplace of Lord Rama

It is widely held that Lord Rama, one of the most famous incarnations of Lord Vishnu, was born and raised in the city of Ayodhya.
